There is Satisfaction in Watching the Eyes of a Guest taste your Figs

No photos, but today JD had an appointment with his late mom's financial adviser.  He wanted to meet the dude, and the dude wanted his money.

So, blah blah... I made sandwiches, served ice tea, and JD told him about our fig forum and how I have all these figs.

Prior to his leaving, he asked to taste one.  OMG!  PANIC!  But I know there are some softies out on that Verte.  So, I went out there, let one drop in my hand, sliced it in two, served it on a paper plate, and the dude slipped off the sofa it was that good!!

See, these things make me happy!

That's awesome haha

You know you have a rough gig when your job includes sandwiches, tea, and figs! Lucky guy! Haha. Thanks for sharing!

Well, the sandwiches were a challenge..  I live in a red neck town with no gourmet grocery stores in sight.  I went to the only chain here, and spotted Farmer John's thick cut Steak House bacon @7+ dollars a lb.  I grabbed it.  The guest said it was the best bacon he ever had, but he did not slip off his chair, which he did when he got that Verte!

I highly recommend that bacon.  not cheap, but nothing really good is cheap.

Good going!

Good one Suzi.

Late this afternoon I had a "panic" call from a customer(+ friend) on her worst tenant. So to cheer her up, I brought the wife along. My wife brought a few nicely ripen chilled Latarrula figs with the intention that would make her situation better -- well it did. She had never ate any fruit like that and she even let out the secret that she enjoyed them so much without her TEETH. She is a senior and she ate all the figs in our presence. After that we visited a friend and gave them 6 nicely ripen chilled figs and guess what, they
enjoyed the figs so much and we went home with 10lbs of most delicious blue berries.

Agreed!

It's pretty fun producing new "addicts". Especially the ones that ask if its like fig newtons. I handed out a few dead ripe Hardy Chicagos to people who had never had a fresh fig before. That look is pretty priceless indeed.
