This ebay does not look like Ronde de Bordeaux

Came across this on ebay.

Seller claims it came from Bass, but I have my doubts...  that does not look like RdB leaves to me.

It's possible that it is a RDB. Last year mine had very long finger leaves but this year they are shorter. My in ground RDB that is just starting to regrow has leaves that look like a Mt Etna fig. I think the stress from winter messed with their shape.

You can definitely get some variation on leaf shape on young plants.  Think I currently have 10+ RDB's in 1 gallon pots and the leaf shape is variable one plant to the next and I guarantee they are all RDB:)  As the plants grow the leaf shape will fall in line with the parent plant.   I am going to do some organizing of the plants this morning so will take a group picture and post it.

EDIT..

Ok here is the picture, there are 12 RDB circled and you can see the variation in the leaf pattern.

wow.. that's amazing.  I never saw such variation on the ones I grew.  I had 6 cuttings from Kerry last year.  All 6 rooted and grew well and all had the characteristic long fingers.  I did see sine odd "half leaves", but the other half still looked normal.

I have different shaped leaves just like Willsc, This year the ones in ground had different that they did last year.

Yup, my PN has a lot of RdB VN style ultra finger shape right now.  Should change by next year and as its canopy grows back.

RDB leaf differences. The first pic is an RDB that is in ground and froze to ground level. The leaves are not growing like they did last year so far but I'm sure they will take on their long finger-like shape as the tree grows again rdb inground 2014.jpg  .

The second pic is a RDB that I have growing in a pot showing the typical leaf pattern that is more recognizable.

Tony, mine is doing exactly what yours are, same patterns and all, pot and in ground.
