This is how I cover

Went down South Jersey today to cover a friends 1st year tree. I stack 2 collapsible tomato cages, stake them to the ground so the wind doesn’t blow it over.  The soil there is very shallow, maybe 1 foot and then sand. I told him I was going to sneak down late one night and put 2 large black Styrofoam balls in front of it :)

Looks well constructed!
The added styrofoam would be hilarious.  :)

I had ro read this thread twice before I got it! Now I can't stop laughing.

Pretty funny. You really know how to erect a shelter.

Is there any insulating material inside of that cover?

Thanks

Is the cover rubber?

I encourage your sculptures completion...use concrete to make it more permanent!

I was going to use Gore-Tex, but Styrofoam is more affordable.

Wrapping the tree with pipe insulation makes it look like it could be part of an art installation.

Let's hope the winter doesn't get too cold as shrinkage could be a problem.
