This Mornings Treat

Picked these from my EL Sals this morning, daughter and i had a nice treat as they were good.
Morning Figs

(edited)
Sure look very different (MUCH darker- practically black) from any of my
Sal's (EL) (mine were light purple-brown skinned)...

Guess micro climates DO make a difference for figs.   I  bet that you must
have had a recent heat wave in TX.

Currently being pounded  with a Hanna's rain drenching POUR,
a good thing that I had just harvested some figs just before...
Had some Brunwicks  almost ready, I bet that by tomorrow they
all will be skin-split!
George (NJ).

George,
its the camera doing that, its not a very good one. They are actually when fully ripe and you touch on tree that fall in your hand the color is a purple some a little darker some lighter. But the picture does show them looking black which one day i will get a better camera to show maybe next year.

George i also wanted to show the chicago hardy but i ate them as those are my favorites and never make it to the plate for pictures i eat right off tree,no washing just put in mouth skin and all.The color of those under good weather conditions in my area are beautiful im not good with colors but maybe what they call a violet or some shade of a blueish color, prettier in my opinon the sals.Course to me sals much sweeter the HC but to me HC has that perfect blend of a nice fig taste with some sweetness,in other words to me best of both some sweet some fig taste on palate.one does not over power the other like sals. But sals is very good and i dry some now and tasted some with skin on and some without and very very good.
