Here are two shots of some young in-ground figs. The first was taken just after they were planted a little more than four months ago, and the other I took this morning. Distant row, left to right, are Kadota (1-gal), Conadria (1-gal), and Georgiafig White Hybrid Unknown (sucker); middle row, L-R, are Black Mission NL (2-gal) and Tena (1-gal); closest is Violette de Bordeaux (1-gal). In today's shot, ignore the 3 potted figs and the volunteer sacred datura (white flowers). The black mission was nearly twice that size, but I air layered one side of its Y-shaped trunk. All but the unknown have fruit that will probably ripen before cold weather.
