George, I will check that out on Youtube. One doesn't understand how dangerous these animals are until they are bitten or had their crop destoyed. The 3 that I "kissed good night" were the size of bear cubs! I would hate to corner one in my house! I want to get me a blue healer just to patrol my orchard but my wife is completely against the idea. Raccoons are not nice and cuddly! The lady I bought my house from had lots of cats. She would put out food for her cats and the coons. Plus I think folks in my neighborhood are feeding them. I live in a retired area, old suburb part of Charlotte, night next to a creek and only a mile or 2 from the lake. I'm in prime coon territory but I'm doing my part to get rid of them.
I'm seriously thinking about installing an electric fence next year. I've got to do more to protect my trees.
