Thread on super high yield fig planting method?

Help, does anyone remember the link that was posted for a paper disclosing a super high yield method to grow figs?  I was searching for it and couldn't come up with it.  Thanks in advance.

That's the one Jimmy, thank you very much!

My first reaction when I initially read this was "no way", but greenhouse tomato growers are getting up to 6 lbs per square foot and this works out to less than 2, so I'm thinking it's quite possible.  I'm wondering how many other plants can get their yields up like this.

Hi Greg,
I just started figs 2 months ago and have been reading all I can on figs.

I am of the opinion that the paper is flawed. I have read that most figs breba and main crop differs in weight. However the paper published almost identical yield from both breba and main crop. Also, doesn't brebas grow on old wood? So to say they have included next year's yield into current year?

It's just my opinion from these 2 months of study.

Note: The conclusion that I derived is based on literature and not real experience.

Any views?

Wow Greg and Jimmy how interesting.  Would the aquaponics set up that Green Fin has going be the same thing or is this more hydroponics?  Sounds like there is a great future in this for us fig lovers to have more figs available year round.  Hope someone adventures into this here in AZ.  I hear our Verde Valley is going to the home of three very large scale medical cannabis greenhouse operations soon because of our water and sunshine.  I would rather have figs myself.  Keeps me very happy.  ;-)
