Threefold Farm Grand Opening - June 24th

Hi all, I hope this is appropriate for the forum but I wanted to write the group to invite fellow fig lovers to the grand opening of our family's farm, Threefold Farm, coming up on June 24th from 12pm-6pm. It's at our orchard and fruit tree nursery (including figs!) in Mechanicsburg, PA. We'll have live bluegrass music, face painting for kids, orchard tours (including our half acre fig planting), and a free raffle for a giveaway of a 15 gallon fig tree.

More info can be found here: https://threefoldfarm.org/blog/grand-opening-2017

Hope to see you there!

Any pics of the different varieties of fig trees for sale?

Are you going to be selling cuttings in the fall?

Here's a sample of our nursery area with our small, 3 gallon, and large fig trees. Our varieties can be found through our site: https://threefoldfarm.org/store

All inventory is up to date as of yesterday. Currently we don't list 15 gallon trees on our site as they're individually priced.

@livetaswim06: We may sell some cuttings in the fall depending on demand and our personal availability (we're pretty swamped right now!).

I ask since I am in CA and shipping cuttings here shouldn't be a problem.

can you guys ship to California??

No, they don't ship to CA according to website, at least not for trees.

Unfortunately no plants to CA (and a few other states), the restrictions are just too much for a small nursery like us to follow all the regulations. Cuttings are a possibility but we'd have to look into it.

Hi Tim
The very best wishes on your new farm.
Good luck to you and your family. You are a honorable man, and it is my pleasure to call you an old friend

Hi Tim,

Sounds great. I hope to be there. You are a great guy, and I wish the best of luck!

Hi Tim,
All the best with your shop.
I had a cutting of two of a fig called something like "Tim Clymers #1/Favorite fig", from memory. I am not sure if it made it and my addiction keeps me interested. Is there anything you can tell me about the fig and will you carry it?

Will you have a list of what youcarry?
Thanks, Mike

Tim Clymer's favorite Enola #1?

I purchased a Black Madeira and a Kathleen's Black from Tim a few years ago. Both trees arrived in great shape and are growing very nicely. Not to mention he was super nice and very helpful throughout the process. Thanks again, Tim.

@Garlic_Mike We don't currently carry that fig but may in the future. I named it Enola Italian 1 as there were three trees in the bunch I took cuttings from in Enola, PA. All turned out to be basically the same as far as I can tell. I distributed cuttings to the forum and planted some at our former location. I may offer it in the future if it proves popular.

Funny how figs get renamed. I never referred to it as my favorite (though it certainly seems pretty good), but I guess it has made its way around and been renamed along the way. Our list of what we currently carry is on our store website: threefoldfarm.org/store

Hi Tim,

No renaming. We have not met and your name was familiar. The only error was my memory. I did not look back at the name.
Good luck and hope to see you sometime.

Mike

Congratulations, Tim, and best wishes for great success!

Thanks for all of the kind wishes! We're only a week away and are looking forward to folks coming.

Congratulation!  Eager to follow your success through this forum. Please keep us posted!

Nice, you're about an hour and a half away from me.  Will have to check it out this summer.  Good luck.
