to celebrate this wonderful season of holidays..

i took rest of the week off and pop opened my first can of Guinness. Nollaig Shona Daoibh! Sláinte!

switching gear, moving to murphy's. i need to finish two pints aging in my ice box.

so it's been awhile since i brewed. thing is, i don't have enough figs to make fig beer. so, my new yr's resolution is to grow enough figs for the fig beer. i need about 3-4 lbs of fresh figs for 5 gal beer. i'll go with something sweet, with little or no hop bites. have malt to add to the sweetness. might include some coffee beans to balance out the sweetness... hmm.. this would be great if i can get enough berry flavor figs like VdB, CdDB/N/G to add. if weather allows.

I'm off too - life is good - had an IPA earlier.  But December is a good time of year for a heavy beer like a stout.

rewton, two words for you if you enjoy IPA. fuller's ESB.

Pete, If you like a good dark beer. https://www.greatlakesbrewing.com/beer/an-exceptional-family-of-beers/year-round

I'd recommend Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald Porter.. Great Lakes make some fine beer!
