Dave,

Yes, they are wonderful.  One of these figs is like 2-3 small figs combined.  I've picked around 10 so far, with just a few more left to ripen up.  Thank you again for this variety.  No winter protection last winter and it still rose from the dead.  I did an air layer on it last month so we'll see how it does in a self watering bucket next year.

Hi Dave, it is not fair, I'm expecting one less than you :) .
I saw yesterday that one is starting to droop ... I'll wait more days to harvest it . It was still too firm.

One thing that I noticed with the LDA I was having problems with birds attacking them when they were ripe so I started picking them 3 or 4 days before they were ripe and just sitting them on my counter in the kitchen for a day or two and they ripened beautifully no loss of flavor  I don't like picking figs before they are ripe but it seems to have no effect on the flavor  on this particular variety of fig  try it and see if it works for you.

Nice figs Dave.

Hershell do you have one? If not let me know I believe I will have some cuttings I can send you.

Nice figs!
