(Too) Early growth on overwintered figs

Hello all - this is my first time posting. I'm a new fig grower and have a few lovely plants. Last winter was my first winter with figs - I brought them all into my basement, where it was relatively cold, and all went well.

This year I brought them into the basement again - but its been a very warm winter, and on top of that I did a little insulating work, and so in general the basement is not that cold. Good for my heating bill, but maybe not so good for the figs.

I just went downstairs to see if they needed water - and noticed one of the trees has already - in january - started to sprout new leaves. The others havent.  So my question is - what to do?

Do I leave the tree w leaves in the basement or bring it upstairs to my sunroom - which gets pretty decent light and is actually probably colder than the basement (around 58F or so usually)? I think we'll have a few nights below 25F so I can't leave them outside - unless I vigilantly check the weather and move then in each time the temp drops.

In general - I'm just looking for some advice on how to care for these suckers and give them a nice winter rest.  all suggestions very welcome. thanks!

Welcome and great question. I do not have experience with this, but I'm thinking move it to sunroom. Good luck!

You would need to bring it to the source of sun now, it has already started waking up, I would and give it a nice drink of water as it is thirsty.
