With the recent and upcoming heat wave to LA, is it time to unplug my heat mat?

They are in a humidity bin on top of a heat mat. Temp inside my place will be in the upper 90s moving forward won't dip below 55. I may turn on the ac if it becomes unbearable and that may bring the temp to low 80s. All transplanted cuttings have moved outside already. Anything with any visible roots moved out of humidity bin to room temp just in case.

It's probably a good idea if you don't have the heat mat regulated.My heat mats are set at 72f
and haven't kicked on in days.Right now my bin is reading 82f with just the T-5's 12" above it.

I'd want the cuttings between 75 and 80 as much as possible so I wouldn't leave them outside.

No one on the east coast wants to hear your problems! Sorry, I'm just jealous. Lol

I haven't used the heat mat this year at all and I have a heat mat regulator. My sun room stays really warm and the humidity bins are there as well as the ripening cuttings. Everything with good leaves and roots has been moved to a humidity bin outside in the shade. With night temps in the 50s, it seems okay.
It's going to get warmer before it gets cooler. I wonder if it will ever get too hot for fig trees here? They're planning for cotton crops in Iowa when it's too hot for cotton in the South:

Mara, I miss the days when as a child I used to walk to school in my rain boots, jumping purposely into puddles and, playing with my umbrella until I was soaked. For ever now I have been waiting for anything that resembles winter again...not gonna happen!
