Guess what we have had too much of lately?Baskinta Purple on the right and my first ever Malone on the left.
Yep here too Mike. Rained yesterday and constant rain today. During a lull this morning picked 1/2 gallon of figs that were split and soured. The ducks liked them though so I guess they didn't go to waste, turning spoiled figs to meat:)
That stinks! They look like the Langoliers from that terrible TV Movie, hahah.
Maybe a rain dance performed backwards would work.
I sympathize Mike. We have had torrents of rain this summer. Thankfully it is starting to dry out just as my Hardy Chicago is getting ready to ripen. If the weather stays normal the next month I should end the season well.
We finally dried up around here, but we had heavy down pours 20 something days in a row during peak fig picking season. But it's ok, I picked my first black madeira of the season a little while ago and it was perfect. Sorry no pics, lol.
It's been consistently raining here since Friday. Today should be the last of it.
wowthat is just not right...sorry Mike
Man, the one on the right looks like Little Shop of Horrors. Feed me Seymour!
I haven't had a Malone but for that to happen to a Baskinta Purple is a crime.
Maybe a clear umbrella would help.
On the bright side Mike, no more rain in the forecast for 4-5 days :) hope it holds true for you 1.5 hours south of where I am :)
Looks like you've been playing too much Pac-Man.
Is it the rain on the figs or the tree taking up too much water from the roots?
To much rain
Wow, that's terrible. We have had a mild summer here in Chicago with lots of rain. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my crop won't get damaged by rain. Looks like I have a bumper crop this year.
