What size hail?

We had a little hail yesterday here, it busted up some tomatoes I have In containers.

popcorn size. it's over now. no damage.

I hope all was well, we had tornado warnings and got stuck in the office. Really you do want to be in a nice windowless concrete structure then. Perfect. Now the coast is getting hammered. Just hope nobody gets injured. It's flying tree season in NC.

grew up in seoul, and nyc. i was shocked of kind of weather we have in nc... that is when i first got here. now i just make sure the family is safe and hope they pass by quick. can't really control the weather.. 

Aloha, Pete. Just another reason to come on out to the islands where all we worry about is the occassional tsunami and hurricane. The volcanic eruptions are on a different island altogether. ;) Hey, at least the Longboard is made here!

forecast here is no tornado, but 30-40 mph sustained winds with gusts up to 60.

gonna see how good a builder i am. that's damn near hurricane force.

i built my fence as good as i could but i'm not an architect.

lizzie, NC weather can be nasty sometimes, but most times it's pretty ok. i enjoy the hot summer and short winter. i don't remember much about spring and fall since they go by so quickly... 

susie, let us know how the fence works out, gust up to 60 is a lot.. one of my tree is keep falling down.. it's top heavy and i know it. should move into the large pot but didn't get to it. 

hiya pete. my fence holds! just days ago i added a brace to the side with the truck gate. an 8' gate weakens the structure, tho it's very handy to

bring heavy stuff in with the truck.

to be fair, before i designed this fence n arbor i looked at tons of pics of professionally installed fences. i mostly copied them.

if i can ever figure out how to move pics here, i'll post them. i'm proud of my fig oasis.

oh ! my figs are supple enow so they are fine, inground.

by the way, my fence is fulfilling its purpose. there's a raging sandstorm out there n i've seen 
sandstorms shred fig leaves. the wind is reaching inside the garden but no shredding at all.

my figs are happy.
