Trade Anyone?

Hello Fellow Figgers,

I am looking to acquire a few new varieties to try and grow this year. The varieties that I am looking for are: Nero 600M, Longue dAout, JH Adriatic, and RDB.

If anyone has any of these and would like to trade I have a few cuttings of each of the following varieties to choose from:

Hardy Chicago, Sal's El, Gino's, MBVS, Takoma Violet, Lattarula, Verte, and VDB.
PM me if interested.

Hope you all have a great growing season!

I am currently rooting JH adriatic and RDB and depending on how things go I might have a couple extras to trade in a few months, but I am sure you will probably have received cuttings by then.  If you haven't maybe we can do a rooted cutting for airlayer trade or something closer to spring.

I am curious to know which ones you prefer out of Takoma Violet, Hardy Chicago, Sal's EL, Gino's, and MBVS.  How do these compare to one another for you?

Yeehova,
Of the five varieties you mentioned If I had to pick one it would be Takoma Violet. Although, Gino's and Hardy Chicago were close runners up. The truth is that they all tasted great in comparison to the figs of an unknown tree that I have been taking care of for a few years. I am by no means a fig or taste expert, and weather plays a huge roll in flavor so things may change for me year to year. Takoma Violet, HC, MBVS, and Sal's are all in ground figs, and Gino's I have in a 25 gal. pot. This year I will be thinning the herd a little to make room for some more varieties to test, but all of the above varieties are here to stay.  I don't think it would be fair of me to really compare flavors yet against one another until they are at least each 5 years old and established.
