Tree in house dying back

Looking for some advice.  I have about 10 trees in the house that came out of dormacy early.  Planning on putting them outside soon.  All are fine except for one.  I noticed its main bud drying up which was disappointing.  Now that die back seems to be inching its way down the tree.  Its gone from just the tip to the top 3 inches.  Is there something I can do to stop it?  Pinch it underneath?  Or should I just let it do what its wants to do?

cut it off couple of nodes down and hope for the best.

aaaawwwwwe. .. also, let the water run through the pot for 20-30 min at very low amounts... to rinse the buildups...just incase you fave fertilizer or silts buildups. and take them out already. I see some spider web-like thinks on the tip of the dry one also on the leaf of the left side one... I hope you don't have any disease spreading.. just wash their leave to be on the safe side.
feel sorry for that baby.

Chome360,
Check the roots, they may be dying...
You may have a problem below the soil line...
Good Luck.

Thanks guys.  The webbing is from spider mites.  Had them pretty bad but they are under control now.  The webbing is old.  Hoping to move them out soon, but it still drops into the mid 30's here in the Seattle area.

I posted a link from the American Orchid Society on how we get rid of spider mites.
