Triano Calabrese 9-23-13

I like this for a change up fig. Not real sweet, very creamy melon taste, very little crunch and the skin is thick but not tough. About a 7 at this point but gonna get better, I hope.

Is that a typo? Is this Troiano Calabrese?

Dale, it was given to me as Triano Calabrese. This link is all I could find about it.

I have it as a 1st year cutting listed the same as Mike, but read the following thread, in particular post 26

Troiano Calabrese it is. Glad you found and shared that link.

Mike,

Curious Is the Paridiso  you recently posted from this same source?  I have one from him labeled Paradiso Nero, and I wondered if that was it you posted. The  whole thread on different figs labeled Paradiso recently really makes me wonder if every old Italian family was required by law to name a fig as such after the old story.  I still list mine as Triano Calabrese Mario , guess I should update my records as well.

No mine is from another source and it originally came from a
prof in Shreveport

Another good one Mike

Looks delicious, no voids in the center, that's always good
