I was interested to see who was selling figs on the web so I decided to search around on CL. I found one seller that lives a few minutes from my house. I decided to search my hometown of Houston, TX and I sound so many owners selling trees. The attached picture below is what I found from one owner selling 2-4 foot cutting in three gallon pots. Heck I'm sending that guy a email, just to see if he would ship some cuttings.

I would be so awkward if that person was a active member here. However with a tree that big they would've posted about it.

So just try looking next to your city to see what you can find. Might find some interesting trees.

I tried searching the cl some time ago also and discovered that their search engine is kind of dumb ...
The keywords "fig", "fig tree", "figs" would produce different results.
What words do you use for searching?

Yeah the engine isn't the smartest. I just used "fig", "fig tree", "figs" in the gardening section or the for sale. If I could get that tree on the left for just $10 then I'm down. The leaf looks interesting, he said it goes by the name of "Alexandria" but I couldn't find it in the database. Most likely just renamed. However if he is from Europe then I'm golden.

I also check every surrounding city that I wouldn't mind traveling to also.

Cool!
I emailed to 3 people a couple of weeks ago and only 1 replied that the fig he was selling was a BT :(
Usually the sellers reply much better, maybe their system was misbehaving... Who knows, I'll try again!

I got one tree from CL. Most of the time the trees are junky and common though. Like this one.

fig tree - $45 (hatboro, pa)

serious cash buyers only

Yeah that is true. Right now I'm searching cities that might have European immigrants. Maybe one can be lucky.
