Turkmenistan breba picture

Spring is here in the Northeast.  Today I got out some of my figs.  A couple of pics of some (still forming) breba, Turkmenistan variety.  Also a shot of the front yard figs (not to be confused with the back yard figs, or the deck figs).

Hello Mike,
Thanks for the Optimism. I did the same today. Hopefully "spring is here". Shuffled out most of my larger potted figs and brought out several dozen cupped cuttings that have been inside in widows for months, they did quite well in direct sunlight. Still have 1 gallon plants inside that are fully leafed out and would rather not risk outside, at least for a few more weeks. I don't plan on shuffling much next year.
Have a productive season.

Mike the figs look great but the 74 - 79 VW stole the top spot in that picture.

Thanks for showing the pictures .
Agree what Gene said about the VW.

Love the bug.

The figs are alright, too ;)

Gene, Martin, and Nichole:  It's a '71 Super Vert.  (Superbeetle convertible).  That's not its original color -- it was the pale yellow stock color originally, had already been painted when I bought it.  (I prefer the '63 Karmann Ghia, it's white with red interior... save that one for another picture).  The '71 Superbeetles are noticeable for having the flat windshield (like a standard Beetle), but the Superbeetle body width.  (Later Supers had a curved windshield... that's the easiest tipoff that it's a '71... there are a few others but they're more subtle).  The top boot on it isn't the right one for '71 though... the boot is from a '73 and later style, so probably that's what threw you off Gene.  :-)   (I just found that one at a great price and never did find the correct one for a '71, so I bought that one).

The front yard figs comprise about a third of the fig trees.  Leafing out.  And Pete, I also had some that stayed in through the winter (after about a 3-week dormancy period in November).  They've leafed out, and I've got them out in partial shade.  Will shuffle those if necessary, but I'm staying optimistic for a nice warm springtime!
