I separated Nero600m and Abicou from the mother plants today. They were started on 7-29-13 using
a Rooter Pot and the Q Plug. I covered the entire pot with aluminum foil but I already some root rot on the Nero600m but I still think it will be just fine.

Thanks for the update and photos. looks great, plenty of roots for sure. In addition to the Q plug, what other growing medium did you use? sphagnum or peat or soil? Also, did you constantly add water? Or what do you think caused the root rot? I have a few air layers going in the RooterPot, no Q plug, and curious how often to add water. Thanks!

Mark, I did not use anything other than the Q Plug. If fills the Rooter Pot completely, and snug. I did a couple using Root Riot Cubes and did
add some UPM to fill the cup. I never added any water after the initial moistening of the soil. It received more than necessary from all
the rain we have had. I covered the Nero600m with foil but it had already had too much water, hence the rot. I personally only want
mine to stay damp not wet. Without all the rain, I may have shot some every week or every other week with the hpyo needle.

Mike, thanks. I'm not familiar with the Q Plug, i guess i was thinking of the root riot cubes. I'm thinking maybe i should cover mine more. Tks!
