There appear to be two figs from Abruzzi with the same name, Corragio.  

One was donated to NCGR- Davis  http://www.ars-grin.gov/cgi-bin/npgs/acc/display.pl?1640345 .  It originated with Aldo Biagiotti of Connecticut and  is also called Abruzzi and Fico Nero.

The second fig originated with Isidoro Dibiase of Tennessee  and was brought to the attention of the forum by Boris. http://figs4funforum.websitetoolbox.com/post/corragio-for-trade-5618435?highlight=abruzzi&pid=1271517954 

I'm trying to determine if these two Corragios are the same fig, but there is very little information on the fig offered by Boris.  I've contacted him, but he no longer has the fig and couldn't give me any additional information.  

Is anyone growing the Corragio from Boris?  I'd appreciate any information on this fig.

I have it but no figs yet. Mine came from a very generous member ( 5fignut6 ) back in 2013. Here's a picture of what my leaves look like.

I have the Corragio from Encanto Farms, it just finished it's second growing season, the only fig never ripened.  Hope to report more next season

I have the Corragio from Boris.  It fruited well for me this year.  I can check my notes when I get home, but if memory serves the figs are green with dark red interior, medium sized.  Don't remember what the leaves look like and they've already fallen off for the season I'm sure.

What else would you like to know about it?

Rob, I'd appreciate any information you can give me on Boris' Corragio.  Was it early for you?  What did it taste like?  I'd be grateful for anything you noticed, or thought about this fig. 

If it is indeed a green fig with a red interior, then there are two separate varieties called Corragio - one green and one black.  It seems fairly well established that this fig came from Abruzzi as did the black Corragio.

I have Jon's Corragio and it had 1 fig this year that turned dark but never ripened.

My Boris Corragio was started in December 2011.  I've grown it in a pot and have probably neglected it somewhat and not up-potted in a timely fashion, etc.  This year was the first it ripened any fruit.  The first one ripened August 31st.  I didn't write down what the figs or leaves looked like but I recall they were green with dark red interior.  Very good tasting; a keeper.
