Two Italian Honey Air Layers available

I found two nice healthy suckers on my Italian Honey that would make fine air-layers.  I'd be especially interested in an air-layer swap. If you're interested, send me a message.
Thanks,  Paul

Paul, if they're suckers, they might already have a decent root system. I received a couple of dormant suckers with a few roots attached, planted them in the ground, and once they broke dormancy they grew like mad. I tried the same thing with a couple of suckers on an Excel--dug down a couple of inches, saw they had a few roots (one much more than the other), cut them loose and potted them up. The one with better roots is leafing out along the trunk; the other died back quite a bit before popping some new shoots near the base. Anyway, it might be worth checking yours to see what kind of roots they already have.

What is a sucker?

I heard one is born every minute ; )
It is a shoot that emerges from the base of the tree. They are named that way because when growing a single trunk that shoot will suck the energy from the top of the plant, while itself growing faster than usual. If left then the tree will form a bush shape. Like Ken said, they sometimes have roots already and can be dug and planted on their own, or they can be layered.

Inspired by your thread, I just discovered two Violette du Bordeaux shoots coming out of the ground, next to two trees.  I assume they both have roots.  I'll trade you one rooted for one of yours.  Advice for getting them out of the pots, and shipping advice would be great!  Don't want to disturb the roots of the mamas, both of whom are loaded with figs.  Pic is attached of one.  The other is too hard to see on the other tree.  Too many shoots starting!

I just went out, took a steak knife, but that shoot is so close to the tree trunk, I realized it's attached and the knife did nothing but nick it.  Not a shoot!  Shoot!  Guess I'll air layer it!
