Two Top of the line Breba ,on white figs,Pixes.

Many white figs do not produce properly ripe delicious fruits in adverse climatic conditions, and that is a fact.
They require ideal climate to turn best tasting.
A few tho do produce delicious Breba and main crop, even here in NJ,with 12 inches + of rain,in this past July.
The 2 down here are examples.
The small one is Vasilika Sika Breba, and the Large one is Adriatic JH Breba.
These cultivars, ripe Breba later than others, and one by one,so Tho ,they ripe for ,2 weeks now,My granddaughter ,found out that ,tho they look ugly, they are delicious,so she promptly eats them before I have a chance to take a pix.
Today she is gone,to a farm to get, peaches, and, sweet Pepper, with grandma so,I have them for myself!!!.

Good to know these 2 white figs stood out so well. So far in my zone for this season the white
fig that stood out really well is Yugo Yellow. I have a few more to go to compare with JH Adriatic
breba. No rain for 30 days. Really good for figs.

Thanks for the photos Herman. Do you believe that Vasilika Sika is in the adriatic family of figs?

  Pete

Not in Adriatic family.
VS,has small Breba fruit, and larger size, main crop fruits,Adriatic has Large Breba and smaller main crop.,Big difference.
This apply to JH Adriatic and Germaplasm Adriatic,as both have large size Breba similar to Adriatic breba in the above pix.

Thanks Herman. I had and very much enjoyed my Adriatic JH brebas this year and as I got VS from you I look forward to that one next year.

NICE!
