two unknowns,

pics of two unknowns.
Can anyone identify?
I know it would be better with ripe fig pics, but this is what I have now.
first is a green / yellow fig.
second is supposedly red.

thanks

I think they are both figs!!  Seriously, where did you get them, what is their history, and just know, nobody can ID a fig from a leaf.

Hide and watch... Maybe somebody can, but it will be nothing but a guess....

Suzi

Dunno. But I am excited for you! I want one.... Lol

I'll be dipped if the first is not Adriatic and the second is not HC with an Etna leaf like that. That is an educated guess Suzi.

Both plants were obtained from a man about 15 miles from where i live.
the green one his wife bought him many years ago.
the red one he propagated from cuttings originally obtained about 25 years ago from a tree kept by a Portuguese family in their greenhouse. He has no idea what the names are.
The green/yellow one produces  a sweet breba, as well  as the main. With or without pinching it produces 2, 3 on new growth.
The red one supposed to too, but no sign of breba this year.

Yes Brent, I also thought the leaves resembled HC, not an exact match for the HC I have, but obviously closely related by leaf shape and  texture. At this stage the figs are also slightly different.

Jen, if you were on my side of the border I would send you cuttings.
