Tying dem fig tree blues

This hot summer and rain the past few weeks have my potted figs making a second growth. They r beginning to sprawl  and crowd each other.  This week, a trip to Lowes got me 50 4ft x pencil thin green bamboo stakes and 150 ft of
green stretch tie wraps.  I used all the stakes and most of the tie wrap, turned into a green handed Gardener.  A friend suggested I cut some of his
black bamboo which worked very well.  My trees are happier and my hands are
blisterier.  Cutting bamboo with hand snips and loppers is work!!!

hey, C.H.

Was there supposed to be pics?

Yeh, pictures........ We love pictures.

Hope that bamboo from your neighbor doesn't root in your fig pots   :)

OMG!  It Could root!!  Bamboo is crazy invasive stuff!  I'm with the "show us the pics crowd!"

Suzi

OK,OK,OK!!  For what it is here are some of my fig trees, staked with dried in
the sun for a day, bamboo cuttings, Lowes bamboo and some as yet unstaked
trees amongst the nandina, lantana,  with a backdrop of Birch, Chinese Dogwood, Akebia, etc other plants, but hopefully no live bamboo.  I used a
liberal statement for a neighbor, about 6 miles away. LOL So here is the pic.  Enjoy. Took me  2 hours to find the elusive camera to computer usb cord and
transfer the image.
