Green Ischia

The inside looks really beautiful. I guess you really can't judge a book by it's cover.

I remember that is one of you wife's favorites too. My tree is still small. I'll be happy to get figs on it!

Susie, to my palate,Green Ischia has an intense jammy taste with a slightly crunchy texture that is the antithesis of a waterlogged Atreano. If you open one up and put your nose into it and close your eyes, the fig aroma is quite special.

I am hitting this question from both threads, and I think you have both varieties so you would know. Do Battaglia Green and Green Ischia ripen at the same time or does BG take longer? I know that BG is thought to be a slight variant of GI, but are they same as far as growth vigor and ripening order?

Calvin, the BG was planted in the ground only a few months ago. It has grown like crazy and is full of figs but none have ripened yet, Another kind gift from JD...Can't wait to compare it with the Ischia.
