UK fig growers

anyone growing figs in Eastbourne? I saw a lot of trees growing around town and was wondering what variety would do well in southern UK

I was in Eastbourne in the Summer and also noticed the abundance of fig trees.............I managed to get a lot of cuttings.What are you growing at the moment?

hi do they still have those trees in Eastbourne and what varaitey is it please. I live in bognor
