Well, I took a leap of faith and uncovered the figs today.  The 10-day forecast showed overnight lows hovering above freezing and then a gradual warm-up.  Here's to hoping we don't have any cold snaps that send us back into the lower 20s!  This is the first year for these figs in the ground, though some have had a year to grow in pots and I'm thinking a good percentage made it based on the appearance of the limbs and the few green buds I rubbed off to test.

As a side note, if anyone is thinking of buying an item named "Shrub Jackets" in the future to protect your figs, don't.  They do protect well, but barely last a season (several of mine ripped today while taking them off) and the ones that I used last year are totally in shreds.
