undermedicated weather

We had our summer polar vortex, and it was nice. It made up, some, for those winter vortexes that weren't. So, then we got back to summer weather for a couple of days (the National Weather Service says 93 today with a heat index of 100), but, tomorrow they're calling for a high of 80. Hello? Have we gone into spin cycle? This isn't July weather. This is September weather. Anybody else experiencing unusual fluctuations in the thermometer?

Here in Southwestern Ontario this summer has been horrific. Yesterday average temps, today 65 (for you American folks).

Between the winter we had, and the summer we're having, I'm ready to move to Florida.

Not here...normal weather, around 90 every day 90% humidity. 4 shirter type weather.

Yes, I agree the weather has been all over the place this year. During the week we had 90's and on the weekend high 70's to 80 and no humidity.

We broke several record nighttime lows, and record low daily highs last week. One day the low was 58, high only 72! That is crazy cold for Arkansas in July. But this week are closer to normal, 89-92 each day, very pleasant considering it is often over 100F this time of year. But I do think it is affecting my figs, hopefully some will ripen next week

Its been cooler than normal in my area as well but Aug. is all ways the hottest part of summer for us. This weekend and into next will be the hottest we have had this year. 100 degree days with heat index values 112-115. Plus the really high humidity. If the wind blows its not unbearable but when the wind stops you cant even go out side. The plants wilt no matter how much you water. In the middle of the day I will shower the plants with water to cool them and the leafs and stems perk right back up for a little while.

Weather here is also unusual. Higher than normal humidity, more clouds than we are used to in Summer. One week low 90's, next, low 70's. Many people here believe that the weather modification programs are to blame. In Northern Ca, we do see the regular spraying, and seem to be ground zero. A friend is a doctor, and she says she knows by how busy her office gets, if the spraying is heavy that day. I am starting to believe that it is disrupting weather patterns. There are just too many crazy weather happenings to attribute it to normal cycles, IMHO.

Figgary, does she say what symptoms the folks exhibit?   We have a fair amt of crop spraying here, I think fungicides, and the next few days the cats and chickens have raspy voices.  I use the word "voices" loosely because I don't want the people in the white coats visiting me.  At least not for an indiscretion in vocabulary...   :0)

More weirdness this afternoon. I had some stuff set out to dry so I was watching the radar. There had been a big blob coming at us but it split and the halves were moving away. Radar showed nothing within 100 miles and it started to rain. I ran out and got things in, and got pretty damp doing it. I got back in just before the hail started. And, I watched the radar till the power went off... Lighting and thunder with torrential rain blowing sideways, and there was still nothing on radar. They have the radar on time delay. When the sun came back out, and I got the computer back on, it showed one little spot of yellow pop up just to the east of us. That's where the cloud was, at ground level the precipitation was moving west at about 50 knots. We got an inch of rain in 15 minutes (tops). I got close to 500 gal. in my roof catchment tank so I'm glad we got it. But, it was sure strange to be watching so close and still get blindsided.

Hi Greenbud. Yes, she says it's usually upper respiratory ailments. Difficulty breathing, short of breath, that sort of thing. Really affects elderly, people with asthma, those with already weakened immune systems.
