Union Berry, Bonita Verte, and Celeste JW.

all unknown i got this yr from the forum members. all from west coast. they are busy putting on roots in hurry. some of them are already putting on the figs in the baggie. hope they are all common fig and don't need any fig wasps. after few unknowns, i'm more and more getting interested in unknown figs that's been growing awhile and enjoyed by the owners.

Pete, I can speak on Celeste JW.  I have that one.  It's a tough tree and puts on a lot of figs.  Mine is about 6 yrs old now and one of my best Celeste.  It is a true Celeste but does not drop figs like some others.  I think you will enjoy it.

I also have an "Improved Celeste Not!".  I forget who I bought it from but it too has some amazing figs.  If you got the room, get yourself an Improved Celeste.  Just one bite and you will look for more on the tree!

Today, I have 3 planted in my orchard.  To me, they are that good!

I never hear of Union Berry and Bonita Verte.  Looking forward to more information on those 2.  I'm planning a drive to Chapel Hill this summer.  I'll ping you before I come.  I'll bring you a surprise.

dennis,

Union Berry looks a lot like I-258, i think. not sure about the Bonita Verte. Union Berry is one of those figs that i looked at the picture and went "i have to have that one". they are all rooting very nicely. i think i'll keep 2-3 plants of each to see how they do.

providing they all survive, i'll keep one of each for you to try it down there for this summer.
