Here's a fig I had last summer on my Dark Portuguese, I later found a couple like it on same tree. Hey Bass. I've seen a fair number of fruits that look like this from the parent trees of that Haikel (poss. Brunswick) fig. Nice picture Bass, as usual :) . __________________ Fig Well And Prosper! Bill - SW KY. Zone 6b. 36.5N I'm fruitnut on ebay.

Yeah Bass i get those on ocassion on several types of fig plants. Posted pic long ago and if i recall properly someone called it a mule fig or something. On another note Have a several year old picture of a mission fig i call the "butt fig" - use your imagination on how it looks cause it looks just like that. ; )

Fico dall'Osso seems to be a documented known variety. i heard there are different colorations also. figs4fun.com/Links/FigLink726j.pdf italian site that used to host above page doesn't seem to work any more. __________________ Pete Durham, NC Zone 7b "don't talk to me about naval tradition. Jon true , the Butt fig i mentioned had 2 separate eyes and looked just like well a big round double cheeks and all.
