"Unk. Burbank and Vineland Ave Fig" story...(This Fig Is M-M-Good !)

How did it taste?

Hints of peach mango flavor. Was weak but its way out if season. Next year this will be really promising
The first one that ripend was loaded with honey. This one just juicy.

Still looking to go there this month!! I hope the tree is still there and, that the owner will allow me to take cuttings!

~dennis i have one called vashion violette,it is supposed to be english brown turkey is this the tree you speak of, i wonder how many turkey's can there be >??~

It's not a Brown Turkey. I've ripened about a dozen this year. More similar to Kathleen Black.

Art, do the leaves match Kathleen's Black? I know that KB can be slow to produce figs, the B & V seems to be doing pretty well with production.

Mike if you scroll back and look at my pics. Mine are being grown in Louisiana they do resemble Kathleen black. I have both of these figs and burbank produced more figs and Kathleen black tend to sour

Mike, I will compare tomorrow. I have two large KB trees. Also looks like Maltese Falcon.

your pics look just like my figs from the first crop this year. we liked them very much. how do you rate/describe the flavor?
