unknown Lyndhurst brown - zone 6 - taste great

Hi,
This is a tree from my neighbor. The fig is large, sweet and taste like honey even the skin is not very soft. I saw two different kind of figs on the same tree. Or they might be two different trees, but plant so close to each other. However, I can't access further because the site is under construction and debris everywhere.

Anyway, the fig has very little seed inside, large round shape. very tight opening. The best I ever taste.

Anyone want to suggest it's ID?

That’s the one on the corner of NY and Van Buren?

Have you checked out the one behind the 1st house on your block?

KK.
Yup. this is from the corner of NY and Van Buren.
I know the other tree behind the 1st house, but haven't get a chance to try the fruit.
BTW, I can see another 3 trees in my neighbor's back yard, you won't see those from the street. I can only see those from my backyard.

It hangs over what looks like a street that goes from 1 side of the block to the other but its not shown on maps, don’t want to get scolded. I’ve been tempted to drive through several times.

When I’m looking I drive pretty slow. Garfield police pulled me over last summer. Someone complained.

I think you have 2 different trees Jimmy. The round one  looks like a "Sicilian Red" to me. Here is my find showing main  crop figs http://figs4funforum.websitetoolbox.com/post/show_single_post?pid=1269943248&postcount=1

It's more than 2 trees there. I setup air layer at the bottom of the tree, then I saw several main trunk spread around 20 ft x 10 ft area. Look at what I picked up from that monster fig bush, this is different branch from the other two fruit.

KK,
I walked through that driveway several times, but never get a ripe fig, the owner or his neighbor must pick them up pretty quickly.
I bought something from a guy in Clifton, his family is from Albania and brought a cold hardy fig tree. He said the fig is the size of peach and black and sweet. I got a sucker from him. Will visit him at the end of August to see the ripe figs.
