So these figs are from a tree down the street here in San Diego, CA.  I watched it develop Brebas each time I walked my dogs past it in early 2011.  When they ripened and started to fall all over the driveway and rot I couldn't take it anymore.  I knocked on the door, introduced myself and asked about the figs.   The husband was at the door with me and when I offered to trade ripe white peaches from my orchard I heard the wife scream "YES" from somewhere in the house.  He laughed and told me to take all I wanted.  I've eaten quite a few figs in the last 3 years and this is one of the top two that I've had a chance to try.  Anyone have a clue as to what it may be?  I'm hoping to get a few cuttings this month.
Thanks for looking,
Eric

Eric, I can't help with the ID but they sure do look good. A nice find for sure. Welcome to the forum from the "deep" South, (sometimes the Gulf waters gets 3 foot deep in the yard) Houma La.

A number of you ended up getting cuttings of this unknown from me this past spring.  I took a few brebas over to Jon at Encanto Farms and he thinks it is desert king.  The mother tree produces a large breba and large main crop every year.  Thought you might like to see brebas from this years crop. Photos were taken May 28th.
