I bought my mom a tree which was sold as a Panache. I have bought one other Panache at that nursery, but this one I don't believe is Panache. No stripes = no Panache, in my book, but I am no expert. Should I complain or not?

I would ask them to exchange it for a Panache.

It could be a reverted panache. Does,everything else look the same.

The branches would still have stripes.

No stripes in the fruit and no stripes in the wood = NOT Panache. It could be a Panache that has reverted to all green, but that is actually genetically different from Panache, and so, is not Panache. The flavor will be the same.

As you feared, This is not panache. But could still be a good fig.
Can you post the pictures of the leaves of that tree ? Those fruit still look beautiful .

you'll know it's Panache when you see the stripes on the fruit like Jon said. There's no mistaking it, my tree is 3 years old and this is the first year that I have multiple miniature hot air balloons. I'd take and show pics but sort of out of commission right now. Day 12 post op shoulder replacement,,, lol, it took me 10 minutes to type this ,lol.
