Unknown Kirkland - ID Help

Finally, it feels like real summer here, and what a wonderful weather to find a good looking unknown fig.  I have been driving pass by this tree many times, and I just did not get a chance to stop by.  When I drove by this tree today, I saw the homeowner working in the yard.  I went back and talked to him about this unknown fig.

To my surprise, he does not eat figs at all, and he just likes how the tree looks in the garden.  I get to go back to harvest figs whenever I want, and have some cutting when he prunes the tree.

He doesn't know what kind of fig that is.  He remembers it is a dark color fig, but he doesn't know what color it is inside (he has never tried it).  Can you tell what kind of fig it is from the pictures?  There are brebas and main crops.  I will try to go back few weeks later to check on the brebas.

Thanks for the pics hopefully someone will be able to identify it when you get pics of the fruit. The leaves are different than any I have ever seen.

 Pete

leaves are Brunswick tip, but need pic of ripe fig in and out to confirm.

How much longer do you think the breba in the picture will ripe?  I will take some pictures of ripe fig few weeks later.

Update on this fig.  I checked on the breba today, and the skin is still very firm.  I will go back to check on it another one or two weeks.

Take pic of whole fig and inside of fruit and i hope it will be easy to ID it.

Weekly update for this unknow fig.  The breba is still very hard, so it will be few more weeks before it get ripe.

Shaping up to look sort of like Brunswick. Anxious to see the ripe fruit.

Another update of this fig.  I visited this tree on Saturday.  This fig as you can see were almost ripe, but still just few day away.

However, I went there today, and this fig was gone.  :(  I still have no idea what color inside it is.  There are so many main crops, but it is getting cold for those to get ripe.

Definitely Brunswick!!!!

Whenever I see the title of this thread I think 'Costco'.  ;)

(For those who don't have a Costco, Kirkland is their housebrand.)

LOL Gina. Kirkland is good brand.

Thanks everyone.

Gina, If it is a true unknown, I may actually name it as Costco/Kirkland.  LOL
