This is from a 2 year old tree and it only produced these 2 figs, but wow they were fantastic! The parent tree is planted in ground in Road Island. That's about all I know of this variety except it tastes great! 

Looks like you have my Aldo's Palermo Red (aka Sal's Corleone). A fantastic fig for any collection.

I have Sal's Corleone and this is not the same. There are several figs with similar shape and size to SC but they are definitely different. Taste was also different, Sal's  may be a bit sweeter, but this is richer.

It's definitely not a SC Leon. This one and CM7, both unknowns, produce figs that look somewhat similar to SC but are definitely different and both are excellent. Better tasting than SC in my opinion.
