I got to try a fig from a 6 month old plant.  It tasted exactly like fig jam from white figs.   Chantaine, Deluxe Preserves, Royal Fig, 11.5 oz (325 g)

Thanks for posting this Bob!  The plant you sent me is thriving!  It's on the drip system, and fighting with the grape vine canopy to grow taller and taller.  No figs this year, but nice to know how they will be!

I'm moving all the figs that were in partial shade to full sun now because our day's aren't so hot, and the sun won't sizzle or fry them!

how about Hearty Honey? Or since it tastes the same as fig jam from a jar, Golden Jam?
