Unknown or Brown Turkey?

This is the fig that was suppose to be a REI fig but I really don't know what it is.  Last year I had a breba crop and the main crop was to late to ripen.  This year the breba crop dropped and the second crop is ripening.  It is also the only variety I have with this growth habit of branches almost horizontal to the main trunk.   The fig can have a strong berry flavor and an after taste I haven't figured out yet.
Last years figs were dripping fig honey from the eye.  Not this year.

Thanks for the video.  I don't know what you got there, but it sure does look delicious!

The growing habit and the fig color reminds of LSU purple

Tom... I have a Black Spanish (3yr. old) that has the same horizontal branch pattern, and same black color and shape as your fig...the leaf pattern looks pretty close too...as far as flavor I have two or three figs that are about 1wk. away from ripeness(so I can't give you an idea of the flavor)...the branches at the base of the trunk were so horizontal that I was able to do a "ground layer " on one of them, earlier in the season, simply by mounding some potting soil on top of the branch(it was already laying flat on the soil that was in the pot)...your fig looks really delicious, I hope mine is too...enjoy the remainder of the growing season.
