Unknown Purple Italian 2014 ??? Not Likely

Edit. This thread was entitled Unknown Purple Italian but clearly that is not what this is. Thanks to forum members more experienced than me, I doing some homework. Once it ripens, I will know for certain. Meanwhile, I changed the title to avoid any confusion.

Unknown Purple Italian
. Gifted three cuttings labeled as Unknown Purple Italian from J. A. Stallone on 31 January 2010. It is a first ever fig for this tree. It is a massive fig that is more than likely not purple with an open eye. It has swollen but it is still as hard as a baseball.

Any thoughts?

This fig may ripen, fall, be eaten, and/or rot without human intervention. Thus this is for the record:

Finger leaves, large eye, light purple/ brown, with white spots...

I am thinking you got a Brunswick. Depends if the eye opens up into an interior (amber to pink) cavity.

Pic from an unk representation at Cosmos restaurant in Wilmington.

Brunswick. AKA Magnolia, no doubt in my mind.
