Unknown Turkey Breba

Here's a fig that I sent to a couple members. I dubbed it Turkey. It came from a Syrian friend who has mostly Syrian white figs. This is the only dark fig he has and most cold hardy. He said it was from Turkey.
Pete (Bullet), Bugs, and Tony here is the breba.

Back to the fig. It's has a berry flavor and is very sweet for a breba. If I hadn't eaten the RdB the other day, I'd have thought this was my best breba so far. Actually I think it's a Mt. Etna type. Definitely a keeper!

Good looking fig! Glad it had a great taste too.

Pat, Did I send you one of these?

No Art , maybe when you get a cutting in fall though !! ;))

For sure! I have a few I'm going to send you.

Wow that sounds fantastic ! Thanks so much Art. I have to pm you a bit later - have a question to ask.

Looks like a nice variety Art. Congrats :)

It would be nice if could make this years Thanksgiving dinner on last years bones.

Art I have a few to send you as well. I'll pm you later - have to go out for a bit.

Looks great. Guess my subscription lapsed again!   :)

Hey Bob,  I forgot that you and Pete were the first to get these cuttings. Were you able to get them to root?

Art, No Breba this year. For some reason mine are late or slow, there are only a few small, BB size figs

on it right now.  I think 4 of July was the cut of point for here, so I still have some time.

Yes that fig looks GOOD!

Very nice!  RdB makes good brebas in Western PA?  That's good info, thx!

I got KRMKs and Bryants.  I didn't get one of these.  But next year...    :)

Art,

nice looking fig! Thanks for showing us.
Compared to your zone you can enjoy some early brebas, thats fantastic.

Thanks for the nice comments Christian

Hey Bob, I think you got me mixed up with Ascpete.
I just checked my pm's and seen that you received them 11/17/12. So you may have it after all.

I want subscriptions to all of you fig hunters.  Did you originally call it unkn Turkey or Turkish Delight?  I have a Turkish delight that's ~ 3' tall.

Hey Bob, that's the one.
I know Bugs got a main crop to ripen for him last year. It was more reddish and he said it was a good one.
