Unknown yellow fig

Maybe someone knows what this could be? This tree has been in ground for five years. It's about seven ft. tall. It's a slow grower but very hardy with little or no winter damage. Taste is good. Kind of strawberry honey flavor. Rain dilutes taste a bit and can be jam like in dryer weather. Fruits sometimes ripen straight up or hang down.
Thanks, Mike

Nice looking fig but I have no idea what it is.  I'm sure some of the more experienced members can help though.

I'm not sure on yours.  I was thinking something like a conadria, but the leaves don't match up with others posted on the forum.  Good luck identifying it.

Lemon?

Lemon has more of a honey colored pulp not red....at least the pictures I've seen aren't red inside.

Nice small figs with red pulps, thanks for sharing.

Best,

Thanks for the replies.  I got the tree at a roadside produce stand. The seller really didn't have clue about what it was called.  I'm thinking it could be this but, mine are a deeper red  http://forums.gardenweb.com/forums/load/fig/msg090000277029.html  Larme de Jaune  a  french fig. The only reason I know of the LDJ is because Figgy Frank gave me a small rooted cutting last winter.  It will be a few years probably before I can compare them. I gave the  LDJ to an organic farm in the area.
Mike

nice fig, thanks for sharing

The fruit looks like LSU Scott's Yellow. There's also a few varieties of Golden Celestes that are more pink than amber. Unfortunately, this leaf shape is found in so many of the SE/East Coast figs that it isn't always helpful for ID.

NOT a Golden Celeste (Champagne).

The pictures you posted in the above link for garden web look just like the figs I got from my friend.  Below is a link the thread w/ pictures of my friends figs.  Do you know now for certain the figs pictured on garden web are the Larme de Jaune or a Carolina Lemon as the other lady calls it.  I'd be interested to find out as this one is still an unknown also.

Thanks for sharing.  =)

I would like to know that myself.
Mike

Maybe Figgy Frank could weigh in on this thread and give us his opinion.

Not a Zailata (Gk Yellow), though the description of the flavor is an exact match. Interesting.
