Does anyone have any more insight on the true ID of the "Dwarf Portugal" fig?
I have a fig I'll be picking tomorrow (hopefully in the very, very ripe stage). Based on its size alone I wouldn't be inclined to call it Black Portugal (i.e., Black Portugal no. 2 as listed in the figs4fun varieties pages), which is described as being "A huge black fig." The fruit I have ripening isn't huge, or large, or even medium -- though I admit the fig I have ripening may be atypical. I'll elaborate more when I post pictures of the fig.
Cheers,
Jim
