Update on Lime treatment

thanks mike

Dave, yesterday morning I gave my droopy Malta Black a dose of the hydrated lime. I used 1.5 oz per gallon. Today it did not droop at all like it had done the previous
5-6 days when left out sunning in the low 70's. I had removed the 8 breba's the day before so it could be that or the lime or both. So, today I gave 5 more the
same dose of hydrated lime, although they were not droop, just needed a drink.

That's great Brent.

I mix 10-12 oz. hydrated lime in  3-4 gallons of water, then apply it a little after watering my in ground trees, about a gallon per treee.

My potted trees get a more dilute dose.  While one cannot easily control ALL the variables (i.e.  was it warmer that week?...did pulling off the brebas make a difference...relative humidity...etc. etc...), I do think it has helped my trees in my heavy clay soil.
