I thought I was forgotten again but I received an email today that my USDA order is in inspection. :-) Now what was it I ordered???? I think there was a caprifig (Q) as well as some pomes and maybe some grapes...

I emiled them in March stating I had forgot to list my Fedex account with my order and wanted to pass it along. Sue, I got mine today, and like you, I had no clue what I ordered.  I now know:  Figs:  3 Tena, 1 Ischia Green, 3 Verdal Longue, 3 Native de Argentile, 1 Black Madeira, and 3 Sucrette.  As you know, these cuttings are long and can be cut and doubled or tripled for success.  I'm glad the weather is warm now, so I can just skip the trouble put them in ground in damp partial shade, and wait.  Thing is, I need to label them.  Winds here today topped 50 mph!  Neighbors say in 25 years we haven't had winds that bad on this mountain.  Talk about bumps in the night..........

All my potted figs survived the last 24 hours of wind.  Evidently there is 24 more hours.  But the pots stand.  In ground figs are fine.

I also received 8 varietals of wine grapes.  There is one that has me puzzled.  Salvador.  Must be root stock.  It's not vinifera.  What was I thinking?  I'll give it a whirl.

Hi Suzi, did you order 3 cuttings of some varieties, or they just sent that many. I've yet to order from Davis, so am wondering how specific you need to be. Hope your winds die down, we had crazy wind last weekend, 90's yesterday and today. Hot for here. Thanks, Gary in CA

Gary, I only ordered the variety I wanted.  You can't specify amount.  They send what they have available.  Just get your order in and relax.  This is the second time I got one Black Madeira.  I killed last years cuttings.  Hoping I won't kill this shipment.  Relax is key.  Once you place your order (with your fed ex or ups account..all free..connected to a credit card for shipping), you will receive your order.  They don't seem to follow a clock.  I usually order early, but this year I barely made the cut.  Any way I order, it comes in April.  Weird.

They do a great job of packing and they offer a good service.  I pray it lasts!
