Varieties with 7 Lobed Leaves

Hi All,

I bought a tree labeled 'Brown Turkey' at a nursery in Houston.  I am pretty certain it is not.  The leaves have seven deep lobes and are large.  I am trying to find out which varieties have seven lobed leaves to narrow down the field. Any responses are appreciated.

Wow.  That is definitely not like any Brown Turkey I've ever seen.  It's been a while since I dug through the variety database...maybe I'll trek over and dig through a few to try and find something similar.  Right off the bat, it reminds me of Ficus Afghanistanica or maybe Brunswick.

Khurtmani?  Ginat Celeste?

My Petite Negri has long fingers like that but I don't think I've seen seven lobes. hmmmm.

I am thinking Brunswick, though it seem a little more "frilly" than the usual Brunswick leaf.

Question--Are even the "bumps" that are often on the bottom two lobes of leaves considered lobes by themselves?  I have a Smith tree that has five deeply cut leaves and most of them have those two extra bumps on the outside lobes on each side.  I've been wondering about that.

Ira Condit considers this a 5-lobed leaf with basal lobes "auricled" in his "Fig Varieties: A Monograph" (Hilgardia, February 1955) which is downloadable as a PDF on the first page of my website:

It is interesting reading, but nearly impossible to identify any specific variety using his written descriptions.

I ran across this one tonight while researching, and it reminded me of this post.
