Variety

Very cool - they're like snowflakes.  It would be great if they were labeled :)

What a great collection of foliage, with a nice frame I would hang that on my wall for sure.

What is written on the leaves?  Are these from your seedlings?

<topic title>  ... is the spice of life.

Nice image Jon.

Maybe you should sell that as a poster.

He who posted it is the poster of the poster

They are all labeled. Each has a number on it corresponding to their accession number in the Figs 4 Fun Collection. These were about 60 leaves that I picked today, and who had their pictures taken for addition to the Figs 4 Fun website. I will not get the whole collection done this season, so am starting with some of the newer additions.

Today's leaves include Calabrese Long, Cosenza, Peace, Qud Saa Yo, Niagara Black, Gonsalves #2, LSU White Honey, DFIC0164.7, Aama, GM-148, Emalyn's Purple, etc. The individual pix will be added to the website in the coming weeks. Hopefully, next year, most will have fruit which will lead to more picture-taking. ;-))

It was interesting to see the diversity in a random selection of 50 or so leaves, and to also see that they could also be sorted into categories according to their similarities, as well.

Terrible, I see FMV!!! ;)

Hi Jon,
question are the leaves you show the dominant leaves for each plant you took them from ?

They are chosen to be what best represents a typical leaf on the tree.

Thanks Jon .
Reason i asked is the 3rd leaf from left in top row caught my eye reminds me of my mulberry leaf which is family related as many know.

Is that one from a maderia wild seedling perhaps or  ?

Incredibly cool pic Jon!!

Fico Nera di Dumane.

Jon,

I agree with Bob C and Ben.  Get someone to make a couple of hundred prints for you (know anyone that owes you a favor in the printing business or a forum member) and sell them to support the F4F Foundation.  Heck, these days everything is electronic, the print shop doesn't even have to be in SD, it could be on the east coast.  If you have to pay to get the prints made, then get people to pre-order and pay up front.  I'd say something along the lines of a 12" x 18" print, could be a little larger though.  $25 per print, $50-100 for a print signed by Jon or maybe an online auction to to sell one print signed by Jon?  You should really think about it, maybe take a poll on the site to see who would buy one.

Put me down for two.  They make great holiday or birthday gifts, get yours now!!!

I'm all for supporting your local print shop.  But if by chance you don't have one of those locally, then vistaprint is really inexpensive for this sort of thing.

Now where is the diagram of what leaf goes with what fig type....

GRamaley, I just might work on that.

Now where did [W]aldo go?
Where is he?
[I think that I see a Stella, though.]
