These were ,the first fruits that grew at base,of tree,starting with third leaf at base on new trunk.
Many ,other,younger fruits ,on tree ,are now,left but we will see if the Summer is long and warm enough to ripe.
This cultivar does need full sun and long hot Summer to ripe,other wise ,it will not.
Plant is in ground,on south east position,in my back yard.
Taste and flavor:Just like fruits of the gods should be:Delicious.
Here is the pix with what i harvested today,and plant loaded with fruits.

Edit note:This fig will ripe in ,part shade ,only in hot climates like,Louisiana,south Texas,Arizona,and Central California,but not in North east or Canada.

Vasile, those are delicious looking figs. Happy to know a handful of fruits can be harvested here and there, it makes the effort worthwhile.
Let's hope the temperatures stay high enough, the forecast is calling for nighttime temps in the 40's by the end of next week.

That leaf sure looks like Unk Lake Spur.  I've thought ever since they were rooted cuttings with new leaves my VS looks most like ULS and now they are bigger it's like looking at the same plant.

Do you consider your Vasilika-sika strain to be the same (family) of the "Dalmatie" strain ?
Did your tree die-back near the soil level this year -stems seem to have young wood- ?
The figs sure look close enough to my Dalmatie. The leaves on yours have more roundish fingers but that could be due to the size of the tree.

I keep my bigger Dalmatie growing on 8 stems and remove all lower root-shoots, but I left some low insiders branches and those do fruit too.
I stopped counting the figs of this tree as I was at 15 brebas and over 100 main crops ( should be around 150 main crops for that tree of 2 meters/6'-8' of height and 1 square meter (3.5'*2.5') at soil level).
The main crop on my "Dalmatie" is almost done for this year. There should be some 20 figs left here and there on the tree. Since the tree matured, it is a good reliable producer.
I winter protect her every year - and that goes since I acquired her . I now use two trashcans one for the left part and one for the right part of the tree.

Thanks for reporting on this.  My V.S. (non-Dalmatie type which derives from the one you have) is in its 1st year so hopefully I will get fruit next year.  I will probably keep it in a container for now but it is good to know that it can come back from being frozen to the ground to produce fruit.  How would you describe the flavor compared to other green figs with red pulp such as Adriatic JH, Battaglia Green, Ischia Green etc?

My VS I got from you has been a slow grower, I'm hoping it has a growth spurt this upcoming season. I did get to taste one fig from it and it was excellent. I plan on getting the dalmatie type soon because they look outstanding as well.

jdsfrance:It is far from being ,Dalmatie,i am sure.
Yes it grew from soil line.
To Steve:It is one notch better tasting than Adriatic JH,and similar to Battaglia.
Ischia green was inferior here due to being diseased and so ,not producing much,in about 5 years till i discarded.
Of course ,as far as adaptability it is inferior to Adriatic JH,and produces less fruits in my climate.
Of course in other climates ,that could change.
