Since my VdB and Negronne cuttings are both doing really well, I wanted to ask about them. The F4F data base says they are the same, but the leaves on mine are completely different. They are growing in the same soil and getting the same treatment of fert, etc. Can leaves still be that different on them if they are synonyms?

Alan, I will have to see for myself, please send me a small Negronne in the near future...LOL     So I guess the Folks will have to buy the VDB, Vista and Negronne and see the differences.....

Well Alan, I have both growing side by side in pots right now. And looking at leaves they are not the same. Of course I can't wait til I can compare the fruit!!

BtW, the little VdB is trying its best make figs. I pinched off the first two, but I am wondering, would it hurt to let a couple ripen? I really want to try one of these!

My VDB and Negronne cuttings didn't make it but the nice people at FigsForLife in BC,CA sent me a plant in the mail from BC to Ontario. 
My Negronne is now doing well and so one day I can add my opinion to the VdB / Negronne assessment.
