Both are excellent figs in a dry climate like mine. Until today I've considered VdB as an A++ fig and regarded it as my favourite. Well, I changed my mind - after a fully ripe Viollette Dauphin. VdB is excellent, while VDauphine is simply mindblowing with less seed crunch.
